Location

0.5cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process from the 1st thoracic to the 5th lumbar vertebra, 34 acupoints totally.

Indications

The acupoints on the upper thoracic region for diseases of the heart, lung and upper extremities, the acupoints on the lower thoracic region for diseases of the stomach and intestines, the acupoints on the lumbar region for diseases of the low back, abdomen and lower extremities.

Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.3-0.5cun, or prick with the skin needle, moxibustion is applicable.
