TCM treatment of acne Ⅱ
Generally speaking, phlegm stasis block type, its color is relatively dark, it is harder with bigger size. It looks like boil. Jugged from course of disease, the occurrence time is longer, in the meantime, the patient should be accompanied by some general symptoms, for example, thirty but doesn’t want to drink water, abdominal distention, and symptoms like these. Tongue nature is light, his tongue is coated, smooth pulse. Patients having such symptoms are mostly suffering from high mental pressure. If he meet something unpleasant at work, he is not a happy worker. This is his character, he is relatively sensitive. Maybe he doesn’t sleep and get up or have meals regularly, and he maybe willing to have some lifestyles, such as drinking down. This is phlegm stasis block-type acne.
The treatment of such acne is to reduce phlegm, promote the circulation of qi, invigorate the circulation of blood, and remove phlegm stasis. Therefore, besides the treatment of these pimples one by one, the doctor also needs to promote the circulation of qi, and improve the inner environment from Shuidao(ST28) and Guilai(ST29), two acupoints subordinate to Yangming stomach meridian of foot. The function of Yinlian(LR11), an acupoint subordinate to liver meridian is to gather dampness and wind qi. To strengthen spleen and resolve dampness, and increase the physical function of reducing phlegm, the doctor needs to give acupuncture on Yinlingquan(SP9) and Sanyinjiao(SP6), two important acupoints subordinate to spleen meridian. The patient needs to well adjust his own mental state and faces his life actively and optimistically, which also becomes an indispensable part in the treatment.
