Frequently Used Acupoints:Qiuxu(GB40)

Qiuxu(GB40, the Primary acupoint)
Location
Anterior and inferior to the lateral malleolus, in the depression lateral to the tendon of the long extensor m. of toes.
Indications
Swelling and pain in the lateral malleolus, flaccidity and obstructive syndrome in the lower extremities, stiffness and pain in the neck, pain in the eyes, chest and hypochondrium, hemiplegia due to apoplexy.
Method
Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8cun, moxibustion is applicable.
