Shoulder pain can be due to pathogenic qi in liver

Case:
The patient has treated shoulder pain for a period of time, he thought it was due to scapulohumeral periarthritis, because he had right shoulder pain, especially subaxillary pain and could not lift his hands. The doctor touched a lymph node on his shoulder and advised him to visit digestive department, finally the result was advanced liver cancer.
The typical manifestations of scapulohumeral periarthritis are difficulty of lifting hands, and arms can not be on the back.So this is not a typical scapulohumeral periarthritis case. 
So scapulohumeral periarthritis or liver cancer?
Generally speaking, the characteristic of liver cancer is right shoulder pain which can not be improved after treatment, usually liver pain with subaxillary pain, concomitant with other manifestations, such as gingival bleeding and poor appetite, etc.

The treatment of pain due to liver pathogenic qi includes 3 steps to exhaust toxin and relieve the depressed liver as follows.
Step Ⅰ
Grasping axilla and releasing shoulders
Pressing acupoint of Jíquán HT1 with four fingers, then pinching and holding the anterior muscles with the thumbs, after that, moving backward slowly to hold the whole subaxillary muscles. 
Step Ⅱ
Tapping subaxillary
Lifting the arms on posterior neck and the neck leans back at the same time for traction effect. Then the other palm taps subaxillary.
Step Ⅲ
Clasping neck and pushing rib
Keeping traction on the neck, the other hand pushes the rib after tapping, from up to down for relieving the depressed liver .
